I want to use old barn wood to make a large dinner table and want to inlay turquoise and coral in many of the wood grooves. Is the inlay a separate project from the rest of the table ? Or what can I use to inlay and also use to protect table at the same time that has a strong clear coat? Any advice is well appreciated. I am a patient amateur.
